cloning light

Hi castlecity! As OG has said, you don't need a huge amount of light to get cuttings to strike roots... that said, if you want to clone and then grow the plants on a bit, a stronger light would be a good investment. I've cloned under 23 CFL (6500K), 20W t4 fluorescent tubes (5000K), 80W CFL (6500K) and 400W HPS (Son-T-Agro) which I also use for veg and flowering and also outside under the sun, during the later part of the spring.

They all worked. It's just a matter of working... View Post

Looking great Sickle! You are right about the heat, they can take it if the water is kept up and there is enough air circulation. Over the summer, I'd have 35C outside and 42C inside the green house on a regular basis. It wasn't a problem, I di have a fan inside the greenhouse to put hot air out of the space though. View Post

I've tried a range of flushing recipes and have found that the plants are just the same as when I don't flush. I generally make the last few days just plain water, but apart from that, I don't bother anymore with flushing. View Post

I can't see your pics Provence... it's likely that you have linked them from a place that doesn't allow hot-linking. If you upload images directly to the forum everyone will be able to see them.

Hi Robbie, the video link in the previous post shows the basics of taking cuttings quite well.

Although, you don't need to use rockwool as your medium. Cuttings can be placed in peat pots, like jiffy pots, and the can go into a range of different soil free mixtures or even just... View Post

"as above"

Yes, those are matured pre flowers and they are definitely female. These suspicious balls are mature calyxes. One of these balls develops below each pair of pistils. If one of the pistils catches a grain of pollen and becomes fertilised, a seed will form inside the calyx.

Your buds are made up of many, many unfertilised calyxes. View Post
