Hey Sensi people, as the title suggests I'll be running two Skunk kush & two Northern lights both strains are fem's from Sensi seeds. I have decided to use a super soil grow method because i like the sound of the "just add water" slogan, I do have an arsenal of liquid fertilizers just in case it goes tits up. They will be grown in 20ltr pots in a DR120 tent, under a 600w dual spectrum bulb.

The super soil takes at least a month to "cook"(compost) so this grow will start sometime then although i will be starting the seeds once i have made the soil so to give them a good veg. i'm just waiting for 10kg of worm castings to be delivered and the games will begin.

The whole "super soil" thing has cost £83 to accumulate all the ingredients, pricey! but they should last me a couple of years. I will be taking cuttings of both strains just in case i cock it up.

There is lots of info on interweb about super soil recipes for those who are interested.

Thats it for now,
Keep it green.

Sic
Peace

Sounds interesting Sickle... be nice to see the 'super soil' in action.

When I first began growing weed in containers rather than open ground I used something similar... only things added during the grow were water and a little seaweed extract.

Sounds like you have a plan bud! Interested to see how you go with the soil mix, the 'just add water bit' sounds great to a lazy bastid like me. Looking forward to the show, ill have a pk of those new NL fems in my possession soon, cant wait to get them started. Its been too long since i had some NL!

I dont expect to get it right first time, I'm planning on running the NL & SK for awhile to get the mix right for them also keeping my favored pheno's of both as mothers. Yea the super soil thing does sound good, do all the hard work at the beginning then pretty much sit back and watch the flowers grow lol

Right! The super soil is made phew! although the looks i got from Mrs hand as i mixed it all in the bath were priceless. The seeds will be germinating in a week, so i guess the games have begun lol

In true sicklehand style ive bastardized the recipe a tad
Here are the ingredients used

70 ltr Good compost
10 ltr coco
10 kg worm castings
1 cup dolomite lime
1 cup Epsom salts
100g seaweed meal
250g bat guano
100g bone meal
100g blood meal
100g rock phosphate
3 tbs frit trace elements
50 g myco fungi

that's it for now
Keep it green
Peace

Hi sicklehand.
Compost is good for the plants almost impossible to.overfeed the plants.
It works for a longtime and instantly.
There are microbes in it and alltypes of food.
I make compost for more than 20 years.
Because the most ingredients (plants and soil) are for free.
2tips:
Compost works best at the top 10cm.
Add every week a few cm on the top of the soil.
Succes with your grow !
