Only things i could see doing that are too much heat or too little water. One of the others is looking droopy like its not getting enough water aswell.

Altho now i look at the pics again the leaves are very very green. That can be a sign of too much N altho i got no idea if that would make them wilt like that. For all i know that might just be the way that strain looks :)

Week 15 update.

There was no week 14 pic, although unfortunately the bubba kush did not survive. The culprit was a lack of water. the moby dick on the other hand has sprung back to life and is thriving. I as a precaution i have started with more frequent water and feed schedule.

The mothers finest is yet to show sex, although finally had a great deal of height gain in the past 3 days.  if it turns out to be a male i will let it pollinate the northern lights. I'm still hoping its a female.

The northern lights is now in flower, and had showed female preflowers. I expect a jump in height over the next few weeks, but it is a nice looking bush.

The bubba kush harvest was sad to say the least, the immature bud was just starting to form but there was some very nice crystal formation. so rather than toss the plant i cropped about 15g of dried bud. The finger hash was nice but not killer. i've only used the remaining bud in my volcano and it is a slightly above average smoke. the taste is not as nice as i would like but passable, the buzz is relaxing with moderate head kick nothing too strong. I would really like to give this strain a chance to grow properly and finish. Another three weeks and this very well could have been some good to great bud.

Bubba kush - sad harvest of immature buds.

week 16 update

the plants are looking very nice this week. the moby dick is forming some nice bud and is set to explode, also the smell is wonderful! the mothers finest had a huge jump in height and is now over a meter tall, and also showed its first pistils and appears to be female. the northern lights continues to build a solid base and hopefully will get a bit of height gain in the next few weeks.

Week 17 update -

All looks good, not much change from last week.  the mothers finest is still getting taller about 1m 20 now. the northern lights still has not had a significant gain in height. both are starting to show some early flowering pistils with the mothers finest a showing more development so far. as for the moby dick it is looking good, smelling great and hoping for just a little more bulk before its harvest time in a couple of weeks.

Week 18

well all the ladies are looking deliciously fine this week. The moby dick is starting to buckle under the weight of her swelling buds and is about a week away from harvest. The northern lights has unfortunately missed its large height gain phase and is settled into budding at about 40 cm tall, much shorter than expected but good to know for next time, at least its nodes are tight and is a good looking little bush. Finally the mothers finest is a giant, she just keeps getting taller, i've started to bend her a bit due to height restrictions, she will be the tallest plant i've ever harvested and is currently 1m40.  with lots of budding sights i am excited to see what she will produce. Hopefully she will flower in the expected time as i must harvest before november.

Week 19 / Harvest and Smoke Report

Well week 19 started and i was out of bud! so i harvested the Moby Dick. It could have used another week or two to fully form but I was happy with the size of the plant.

Final Stats - 1m 04cm Height
Weight (after dry before cure) 46g

Quick Details:
Moby Dick -

Jun 14 - Germination
Jun 21 - First sprouts
Jun 28 - First set of proper leaves
jul 13 - 12/12 light cycle switch
Aug 02 - first cluster of pistils
Aug 29 - bud formation started
Sep 22 - Harvest
Sep 30 - Move from Dry room to glass Jar
Oct 05 - Smoked joint
Oct 06 - Smoked Pipe
Oct 07 - Smoked bong
Oct 08 - vaporized - Volcano

Smoke Report:
Joint - Nice overall body buzz, not overpowering. This seems to be one of the weakest strains i've grown but has a nice flavor. It is still better than most of the bud I can find on the street.

Stone Pipe - fair smoke in the pipe, this is my least favorite way to smoke, the indica kick is very evident today. nice earthy flavor is starting to really come out.

Acrylic bong - Nice kick off the initial hit, was stoned for over an hour off a very small bowl. the indica traits are very dominant in the smoke. Enjoyed the bong very much.

Volcano vaporizer - Wonderful taste, nice stone not completely overwhelming but very heavy couch lock indica hit, the sativa influence can be felt but is not super strong.

Overall thoughts - this is a nice chill out smoke for the end of a day. nothing special but it does have a great flavor.  I was happy with output the strain was very slow but produced a reasonable amount of bud. It will be interesting to see how the northern lights and mothers finest come out. Hopefully they will be a little more potent.

LED lights will produce a decent amount of passable quality bud.

I have added a small cfl in the grow room to help finish off the other two plants.

I can't seem to upload photos ??? not sure why not.

Week 21 -

Mothers finest has finally stopped getting taller! she is a big girl with lots of bud sites, hopefully she will produce some top quality bud.

Northern lights is still smaller than i like but it is looking and smelling very nice. Hopefully the buds will be fat and i can get some reasonable weight off it.

The moby dick is the only plant i've had a full harvest from. 1 plant at just over 1m tall gave me 46g of dry bud. When the Northern lights and Mothers finest finish next month i should have a better feel for average yield.

In comparison to my HPS grows this is very similar yield.

With the HPS i had major heat issues with the environment reaching above 37c. With the LED's the average temp is 27.5c. The plants seem must less stressed and overall much healthier.

For a personal grow i am very happy. the yields match my consumption and the quality of bud is better than found on the street. for a commercial grow i would stick with hps for now, the technology is here but on a large scale may be more expensive to set up. I also noticed a reasonable drop in electricity bills.
