Interesting question, i have wondered myself. I have an air conditioner with abuilt in dehumidifier and it has warnings all over the place saying dont drink the water.

Hi,

such a device filters out air-borne microbes and spores, so you should not drink the water -- raw. Another point is the metals used for the cooler, usually copper plates and tin-lead solder, a bit of which dissolves and would accumulate in the plants.

You can use it for plants (I use it on my house plants when the aircon is in use), but like distilled water and RO it doesn't have the range of trace elements found in tap water. As Grasso mentioned, there may be some dissolved metals such as copper present. For this reason, I personally wouldn't use it as the sole water source for valuable plants.
What doesn't kill me just makes me stranger...
